My Personal Statement
I am a product of what I serve to help produce. Today I am a successful counselor, a joyful wife, and a proud mother. It was a counselor who helped me to reimagine, renew and reframe my future, now enjoying life and peace every day. I aspire daily to help do the same for my clients. I have over 20 years of total experience working with adolescents and adults formally as a certified public-school teacher, a church worship leader/musician and ordained minister. I have obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education; my Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
My Credentials
I am an ordained minister with a Master's of Arts degree from Columbia International University in addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I'm also a former certified public school teacher of 8 years and a Gottman Leader of The Seven Principles of Making Marriage Work.
My Top Specialties and My Approach
I work with clients who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, separation/divorce, marital issues, anger management, ADHD (children), PTSD and single parenting. During our initial sessions, we will deeply discuss the issues that are most immediate, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way to help you get peace back in the midst of the storm. I provide Christian Coaching and Counseling while using strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Based Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. We will explore your goals for therapy in the first session. During treatment, every session will begin and end with prayer. I'll help you learn how to refresh, reframe and rebuild a life of peace.
